For example, a bathroom remodel usually requires that we shut off the water to the area for a period of time. However, because condo water systems are usually connected to your neighbors, this task might not be as easy as it sounds. Knowing this information up front will make your remodel go much smoother.
- Consider removing the bathtub. If you are looking for a quick way to free up space in your bathroom, taking out the tub might be a good option. Installing a stand-up shower with clear or frosted doors makes the room seem much bigger because these showers do not take up nearly as much space as a full bathtub. Using a frameless shower stall will also make the shower stall seem like it takes up even less space.
- Use brighter colors. If you are considering changing the vanity, sink, or any other counter-top areas, then try to use a brighter color. Using bright colors gives the whole room a much more open feel. Painting the walls a bright color will help achieve the same effect as well. If you have a window, use sheer or lighter coverings. - Use light colored flooring. Light colored flooring, when paired with lighter walls, can really make the space seem large. Lighter colored travertine stone is a great choice for the bathroom, and you can also create a beautiful, rich-looking pattern with it if you wish. Travertine has a soft appearance, making it the perfect lighter addition to any bathroom. Of course, the natural stone will need to be sealed for use in the bathroom but, when sealed properly, it can be used on floors, walls, and even in the shower.
